American Men - AM System (Hudson Mohawke Remix)

Hudson Mohawke takes his end-credits-of-the-never-ending-story vibe to a whole nother level on this new cut. Clearly using the same beautiful, 80s gear that he used on Butter, he presses it through to some kind of shoe-gazey, drag thing that reminds me of that day when I was 8, stayed home from school sick and overdosed on cough syrup, zonked out, watched Flight Of The Navigator and played me some Zelda: A Link To The Past.

This is pretty different from Butter, and it’s pretty rediculous to thing that this kid who’s been on the scene for about 18 months has re-invented himself almost twice. Let’s see where he goes in the future.
