I love the way the underground filters up like this. The beat-work of people like Flying Lotus and Samiyam is like any other musical structure. People are eventually going to take that kind of research and turn it into songs about girls, boys, drugs and parties. This Jai Paul works in the same kind of scape as Baths, combining canny, forward thinking production with solid traditional songwriting. A+++.
Also, for some reason it reminds me of White Town’s ‘Your Woman’
