Kid Fiction - Ruby Slippers
I only posted a Kid Fiction track two days ago, but he’s just uploaded this superdynamite jam to soundcloud that I’m keen to share. It’s a nice bright 140bpm beat which reminds me of Hudson Mohawke and Joker in equal measure, without actually sounding that much like either, but with a warm and typically Sydney vibe that I haven’t heard since the halcyon days of Silent Recordings, home to bands like Telemetry Orchestra and the proto-Presets neo-classical group Prop. It seems like this tune is part of an EP which is going to blow right up when it drops - very highly recommended!
